The EGU General Assembly 2022 is going to be held in Vienna, Austria on 23-27 May. In preparation for the meeting, we have compiled a list of sessions that are relevant to the community and convened by CLIVAR Panels, Research Foci and community members.

The call for nominations to CLIVAR panels and the Scientific Steering Group (SSG) is now open, nominations can be submitted online via the nomination form. Deadline for submission has been extended to: 29 October, 2021.

On this page, we summarize the activities that the US CLIVAR is going to organize in 2022 for the CLIVAR community to better manage the calendar.

The journal Frontiers in Marine Science is having a new special volume entitled "The role of the South Atlantic on the interbasin and pole-to-pole connections".

The 2022 Ocean Sciences Meeting is going to be held in Honolulu, USA on February 27-March 4. In preparation for the meeting, we present you here the sessions organized by CLIVAR and those relevant to our community.

The 2021 AGU Fall Meeting is going to be held on 13-17 December in New Orleans, LA and online. In preparation for the meeting, we have compiled a list of sessions that are relevant to the community and/or convened by CLIVAR Panels, Research Foci and community members.

The WCRP Secretariat and International Project Offices (IPOs) telecon was organized on 6th May 2021, with the participation of representatives from the IPOs of CliC, CLIVAR, SPARC, CORDEX, S2S, CORA, Monsoon, YESS and WCRP Secretariat. 

As invited by the organisers of the 2021 “AI Earth” Artificial Intelligence Innovation Challenge -- AI Helps Accurate Weather and Ocean Forecast”, Jose Santos, Executive Director of ICPO sent his remark to the final and the closing ceremony of the competition held on 22 April.

An OOPC/WCRP-CLIVAR joint session was successfully organised online on 22 April 2021 during the OOPC-24, in order to further strengthen the interaction between OOPC and WCRP/CLIVAR. 

WCRP organized a Leadership Meeting (online) on 21^st April 2021, with 53 representatives attending the teleconference.
