Organizers announce a call for registration and abstracts submissions for the Polar Prediction Workshop (PPW) 2017 and the 2nd Sea Ice Model Intercomparison (SIMIP) Project meeting. These workshops will convene 27-30 March 2017 in Bremerhaven, Germany.

These workshops are jointly organized by the Polar Climate Predictability Initiative (WCRP-PCPI), the Polar Prediction Project (WWRP-PPP), the Sea Ice Prediction Network (SIPN), and SIMIP.

Organizers of the 3rd Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) International Online Conference 2017 announce a call for abstract submissions. This year's theme is entitled, "Outside the Box: Encouraging alternative solutions for undertaking and communicating polar research." This conference will be held online on 20 March 2017.

This conference will focus on Antarctica in the Global Earth System: From the Poles to the Tropics and how the changes that we are currently seeing in Antarctica will affect the rest of the world.
