The draft of the Tropical Atlantic Observing System (TAOS) Review Report is now available and ready for review. We are expecting that experts and stakeholders will be willing to review and critically assess the draft to provide guidance on how it should be adjusted and improved.

A roadmap to IndOOS-2: Better observations of the rapidly-warming Indian Ocean

The writing team of the decadal Indian Ocean Observing System review has recently published a research article on the BAMS titled A roadmap to IndOOS-2: Better observations of the rapidly-warming Indian ocean, by presenting the core findings from the IndOOS review. 

CLIVAR Endorsed the Project: ‘Enhancing the Chilean Climate Ocean Observing System (ECCOOS)’

The project entitled “Enhancing the Chilean Climate Ocean Observing System (ECCOOS)”, which is led by CEAZA (Center of Advanced Studies in Arid Zones) with the collaboration of other world-class Chilean institutions, has recently been endorsed by the CLIVAR SSG.

A new framework for global ocean-sea-ice model simulations based on phase 2 of the Ocean Model Intercomparison Project (OMIP-2), was presented recently by CLIVAR Ocean Model Development Panel (OMDP) and other ocean model communities.
