CLIVAR and FIO met to plan Trainning Opportunities for Early Career Scientists on July 10, 2017. The object of the meeting was to discuss the possibility of stablishing a biannual CLIVAR-IOC/ODC Joint Summer School, beginning in the summer of 2018.

At the symposium, about 200 oceanographers and young scholars congregated and discussed the recent advances and challenges towards understanding of the Boundary Current dynamics and interactions.
