This conference will focus on Antarctica in the Global Earth System: From the Poles to the Tropics and how the changes that we are currently seeing in Antarctica will affect the rest of the world.

The 4th CLIVAR workshop on the evaluation of El Niño / Southern Oscillation (ENSO) processes in climate models was held at Sorbonne-Universités in Paris in July 2015. The summary of this workshop has been accepted by BAMS and is available on its Early Online Releases.

Global warming drives changes in the salinity and temperature of the ocean interior via modified air-sea fluxes of heat, freshwater and momentum. Lago et al. study tries to elucidate how the knowledge of surface changes impact on the interior of the ocean over a long timescale.
