Ms. Liping YIN joins ICPO

The ICPO is pleased to announce that Ms. Liping YIN has joined the ICPO team in Qingdao, China as a staff Scientist. Liping comes from the Physical Oceanography Department of The First Institute of Oceanography, where she has been Research Associate since 2012. Liping YIN Obtained a PhD in Physical oceanography at Ocean University of China in 2012, and A MSc in Numerical mathematics in 2006.

Her current research interests include: Shelf dynamics including coastal trapped waves and eddies; application of ocean model, including the individual based models for fishes and phytoplankton, and the oil spill research; and Dynamics of biological processes.

Beginning in 1st September 2018, Liping YIN will replace Lei HAN and will be in charge of coordinating 4 CLIVAR panels: Ocean Model Development Panel (OMDP), Climate Dynamics Panel (CDP), CLIVAR/CliC/SCAR Southern Ocean Region Panel and CLIVAR/CliC Northern Oceans Region Panel.
