Executive Director of the ICPO participated at the World Marine Science and Technology Conference in Qingdao, China

Jose Santos, Executive Director of the International CLIVAR Project office, participated at the World Marine Science and Technology Conference held from 23rd to 26th  September in Qingdao, Shandong province; hosted by the Shandong Association for Science and Technology and the Qingdao Municipal Government; and organized by the Qingdao Association for Science and Technology, and the Institute of Marine economy and technology, Shandong

The theme of the conference was: Charting the Innovation of Ocean Science and Technology for Industry Development.

More than 200 representatives (both from China and around the world) participated in the event. Jose Santos read a letter from WCRP wishing success to the meeting and hoping that it would open the door for more collaboration between CLIVAR and Chinese research Institutions working on Ocean and Climate
