Dr. Rym Msadek, New CLIVAR SSG Member

The CLIVAR Scientific Steering Group (SSG) is pleased to welcome Dr. Rym Msadek, a research scientist at the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, France), as a new member for the 2026-2029 term.

Dr. Msadek investigates the future evolution of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) and Arctic climate change through advanced climate modeling. She brings valuable experience from prior service on the CLIVAR Decadal Climate Variability and Predictability (DCVP) Working Group (2015-2019), Climate Dynamics Panel (2018-2020), and Ocean Model Development Panel (2021-2024). We look forward to her contributions to CLIVAR's success.

CLIVAR extends sincere thanks to outgoing SSG member Dr. Masa Kageyama for her valuable service since 2020 and wishes her continued success following the conclusion of her term on December 31, 2025.
