The 1st preparatory meeting of the ‘WCRP-CLIVAR Workshop on Climate Interactions among the Tropical Basins’ was organized on January 13^th, 2021 with 10 participants. The CLIVAR TBI RF co-chairs, staff from the ICPO and the USCLIVAR Project Office, and representatives from the Cooperative Programs for the Advancement of Earth System Science CPAESS-UCAR are joining forces to make sure the workshop a successful event.

During this meeting, the group discussed the following topics::

• Main goals of the workshop
• The format of each session
• The agenda of the workshop
• The distribution of responsibilities during the preparation
• Actions for next meeting

These preparatory meetings will be held weekly before the workshop, which is going to be held online on 24-26 February, 2021.
