14th Session of the CLIVAR/CliC/SCAR Southern Ocean Region Panel

Notifying: SORP-14 has been postponed in light of the gloabl Coronavirus. Information will be updated irregularly. 

SORP -14 will take place alongside the SCAR OSC during 30-31 July, 2020 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. The first day will be a  WAMC/YOPP-SH/SOOS/ASPeCt joint workshop, and the second day will be SORP business meeting.

SORP serves as a forum for the discussion and communication of scientific advances in the understanding of climate variability and change in the Southern Ocean. SORP advises CLIVAR, CliC, and SCAR on progress, achievements, new opportunities and impediments in internationally-coordinated Southern Ocean research. SORP-14 will focus on emerging issues in Southern Ocean research, connections with YOPP, national reports from the national representatives, early career scientists, and membership problems.

Venues
Please note that the first day's workshop (Thursday) will be at the Hotel Grand Chancellor,  the sedond day will be at Tasmania university.
