SOOS Asian Workshop
http://www.soos.aq/index.php/calendar/meetings-workshops
The SOOS Scientific Steering Committee will convene an Asian Workshop in Shanghai, China (23-24 May 2013) to highlight Asian activities in Southern Ocean observations research and to stimulate discussion for further involvement in SOOS from Asian countries.
All interested parties are invited to register to attend Day 1 of the workshop, which will feature oral presentations by representatives from the Asian scientific community to illustrate their nation/organization's research activities and capabilities in the Southern Ocean. SOOS Scientific Steering Committee members will also present an overview of their international activities in the Southern Ocean.
Day 2 of the workshop is closed to invited participants and SSC members only, for small working group discussions.
The SOOS Asian Workshop is sponsored by PRIC, SCAR and SCOR.
