Location: Jerusalem, Israel
Date: 5th - 7th May 2013
Registration and abstract submission deadline 5th April

The Ocean Gateways conference aims to bring together the ocean and terrestrial observations, climate modelling and palaeoclimate reconstructions communities to share their insights into the circulation regimes of ocean gateways, the role of wind systems in defining these regimes, the variability of the gateways circulation and their significance for ocean circulation on regional to global and modern to palaeo-time scales. The conference seeks to stimulate dialogue between the disciplines during plenary discussions and guided round table discussions. It is a stated objective of the conference to particularly encourage participation of young scientists at the PhD and post-doctoral researcher levels.
