Commemorative issue of Ocean Modelling (26 Feb 2009)
Ocean Modelling is pleased to announce a special issue dedicated to the life and contributions of Peter Killworth. Until early 2008,Ocean Modelling was largely shaped, led and edited by Peter, its Founding Editor, who passed away on 28 January 2008. Papers are invited, including reviews, which focus on areas of research that are related to Peter?s interests and contributions to oceanography. While that can include all areas of ocean circulation, his recent interests covered
-Eddy parameterizations
-Planetary waves
-Propagating features
-Effects of topography
-Unstructured grid ocean models
Normal editorial processes will apply. Paper submission date: June 30 2009, publishing date: late -2009.
