The World Climate Research Program (WCRP) Task Force on Seasonal Prediction (TFSP) in collaboration with the International CLIVAR Working Group on Seasonal to Interannual Prediction (WGSIP) held the first WCRP Workshop on Seasonal Prediction in Barcelona, Spain on 4-7 June 2007. Over 180 people participated from around 30 countries, making the Workshop a very successful and enjoyable event.
The Workshop was co-funded and hosted by the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya at the Barcelona World Trade Centre. The Workshop was also co-sponsored by the Climate Information and Prediction Services (CLIPS) Project of the WMO World Climate Programme (WCP), the European Science Foundation (ESF), the Spanish Ministry of Science, the School of Physics of the University of Barcelona, the Catalan Water Agency, US CLIVAR, the US National Science Foundation (NSF), the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
