A Frontier in Marine Sciences special issue on "Climate Services for Adaptation to Sea-Level rise" is now available online. It builds upon a workshop organized by the Regional Sea-level Change and Coastal Impacts Grand Challenge of the WCRP in Orléans in November 2019.

On June 22-23, 2022, the 2022 East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform (EAMCP) Qingdao Forum with the theme “Embrace the Ocean Decade for a Shared Future” was held at the Qingdao World Expo City. Jose Santos, the Executive director of the International CLIVAR Project Office, was invited as a speaker at the Sub-Forum.

The first CDP annual workshop will be organized online for 6 weekly 2-hour sessions from September 12^th to October 21^st, 2022. We welcome your contributions!

The Regional Training Workshop on Observing the Coastal and Marginal Seas in the Western Indian Ocean (WIO) was successfully organized from 7 to 9 June 2022, in a hybrid format, with 25 in-person participants in Maputo, Mozambique and over 110 attendees online.

The CLIVAR Pacific Region Panel (PRP) held a telecon on 2 June 2022, mainly for sharing updates on various activities by PRP members, discussing the SSG feedback to the PRP annual report and the possible options for the next PRP in-person meeting.

A recent paper on this subject by researchers at the University Complutense of Madrid examines the role of tropical convection, specially the location of the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), in the occurrence of the two main tropical Atlantic-to-tropical Pacific basin interactions: the equatorial Atlantic to equatorial Pacific teleconnection, and the North Tropical Atlantic to equatorial Pacific teleconnection.
