This workshop will have three sessions: the first day will be a progress meeting of the ETCCDI. Second and third day will be the joint ETCCDI/ENSEMBLES workshop on “Extremes in a changing climate”. The last day will be a progress meeting of Work Package 5.4 (“Evaluation of extreme events”) of the EU-FP6 integrated project ENSEMBLES (see: http://www.knmi.nl/samenw/ensembles_rt5/) and meeting on “Issues of scaling”
