Satellite Wind and Fluxes DAC
CERSAT (French ERS Processing and Archiving Centre), IFremer, France

Responsibilities: CERSAT acted as the satellite wind DAC during the WOCE experiment, delivering global mean wind fields derived from various scatterometers (ERS-1, ERS-2, NSCAT, QuikSCAT). It is continuing this activity within CLIVAR project, bringing new products such as high frequency blended wind fields (merging scatterometer, altimeter, radiometer and model outputs data) and fluxes derived from satellite observations (latent heat).
