Soliciting comments to the Tropical Atlantic Observing System (TAOS) Review

The draft of the Tropical Atlantic Observing System (TAOS) Review Report is now available and ready for review. We are expecting that experts and stakeholders will be willing to review and critically assess the draft to provide guidance on how it should be adjusted and improved. 

The Tropical Atlantic Observing System (TAOS) Review was organized and coordinated by the CLIVAR Atlantic Region Panel (ARP), in cooperation with PIRATA (Prediction and Research Moored Array in the Tropical Atlantic). This activity begun in February 2018 (in conjunction with the 2018 Ocean Sciences Meeting).

It is a substantive document: 7 chapters, 4 Appendixes and References, 210 pages long. The main recommendations and rationale are in Ch1 (Executive Summary), Ch5 (recommendations), Ch6 (Data flow and information products) and Ch7 (Governance, Review and Resourcing).

We expect that comments from reviewers will be received by 1 September 2020.
