Future Earth science committee announced

The International Council for Science (ICSU) and the International Social Science Council (ISSC), announced the members of the first Science Committee for Future Earth, a new 10-year research programme on global sustainability.

Highlights from SSG-20

The CLIVAR Scientific Steering Group meets on an annual basis, to discuss the accomplishments of the last year and future direction of the project. The meeting is the one opportunity in the CLIVAR calendar where the entire SSG meet in once location. The outcomes of the meeting present new and exciting opportunities for the future of CLIVAR.

The Climate Historical Forecast Project Database Now Available

Seasonal Hindcasts for Scientific Research

The Working Group on Seasonal to Interannual Prediction (WGSIP), in collaboration with the Centro de Investigaciones del Mar y la Atmósfera (CIMA) announce the availability of the CHFP dataset of seasonal hindcasts from leading seasonal forecast centres worldwide for research use.

The CHFP database consists of data from retrospective predictions of the seasonal climate from year to year across recent decades and is available from the website below.
